Are you a commercially savvy procurement professional looking to make a tangible impact through major investment and operational transformation?

This is a rare opportunity to join a large, UK-headquartered international manufacturer entering an exciting phase of growth, automation and strategic investment. With the support of new owners and a clear transformation roadmap, the business is scaling rapidly with procurement at the front and centre of that journey.

They are seeking a Senior Buyer to take ownership of key capital procurement and indirect spend across a growing multi-site UK network. You'll manage high-value sourcing projects - from packaging machinery to site services working cross-functionally with engineering, technical, and operations teams.

This role would suit someone with experience in Indirect Procurement or Capex & MRO, who's looking for a more visible, value-driving position in a forward-thinking and supportive team.

What's in it for you?

  • Take ownership of multi-million-pound procurement projects across automation, infrastructure, and facilities.
  • Join a fast-growing international business backed by recent investment and a strong transformation agenda
  • Work closely with engineering and operational stakeholders on impactful, cross-functional projects
  • Progress your career in a team that values autonomy, delivery, and long-term growth
  • Gain exposure to modern manufacturing and sustainability-focused investment initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement for Capex and Indirect projects, from supplier selection to contract execution and performance tracking
  • Support group-wide investment plans across equipment, automation, engineering services, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Engage with OEMs, contractors, and service providers to ensure value, compliance, and innovation
  • Drive commercial negotiations and procurement compliance, contributing to continuous improvement across spend areas
  • Partner with engineering and technical stakeholders to shape and align procurement strategy with future business needs

Your Background

  • 3+ years' experience in indirect procurement, ideally with exposure to Capex, MRO, or engineering related categories
  • Confident managing stakeholders across engineering, operations, and project teams
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience negotiating high-value contracts
  • Familiarity with spend areas such as packaging machinery, conveyors, weighing systems, or site services is a bonus
  • Practical, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment
