Senior Business Support Administrator - Environment Location - PlymouthAn opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Support Administrator to join the team at Galliford Try within our Environment Business.
You will work on our South West Water Frameworks within the Asset Maintenance division of our Environment Business. This team successfully delivers schemes of varying sizes, predominately to the Water Industry, across both Water and Waste Water schemes.
Purpose of the RoleThe Business Support Coordinator role will provide comprehensive administrative, operational, and coordination support across the business. The role ensures the smooth running of office and project activities, supports compliance and reporting requirements, and acts as a key point of contact for internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate day-to-day business support across offices and projects, maintaining processes, systems and internal communications (including CX Workspace).
- Produce weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports (board reports, project progress, Amplify Staffing List) and maintain accurate contract, allocation and work order documentation.
- Support audit and compliance processes (BSI, ISO), insurance documentation and asset/equipment expiry tracking.
- Manage monthly and quarterly waste reporting and coordinate waste collection services.
- Coordinate onboarding/offboarding, IT setup and inductions, and maintain the local training matrix.
- Act as mental health liaison and coordinate business-wide award nominations.
- Administer key systems (Aconex, Sypol, Skillguard, Tamar Tag) and manage van, fuel card and PPE administration.
- Support project and client-facing activity: defect lists, ProAct letters, site information boards, CLO reporting, and customer enquiries/complaints.
- Maintain accurate data across reporting systems and support office layout, stores and facilities coordination.
- Strong administrative and organisational experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with document management and business systems (e.g., Aconex or similar).
- Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.
- Familiar with Audit processes
