Senior Business Development Manager (Electrical)

Our sales team plays a vital role in our growth, focusing on expanding sales by identifying, evaluating, and securing new accounts within the Electrical Division. Building strong relationships with customers is crucial. The team develops sales strategies and plans aligned with business objectives.
Location and Travel: To be considered, you must be based in the North West, with regular access to our Electrical Head Office in Preston, and willing to travel to customer sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the electrical sales pipeline, focusing on long-term profitable growth.
- Lead and support the acquisition of new accounts through presentations, negotiations, and documentation.
- Visit customer sites to present services and assess requirements.
- Establish new accounts with accurate records and clear communication of terms.
- Manage the sales pipeline to meet targets.
- Contribute to developing effective business strategies and market propositions.
- Support Account Managers in identifying and prioritizing new opportunities.
- Assist in developing marketing strategies to generate leads and new business.
- Maintain high standards of sales excellence, compliance, and best practices.
Benefits:
- Salary up to £50,000, with OTE from £57,000
- £5,500 annual car cash allowance

Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive experience in technical B2B sales, securing contracts over £1m.
- Knowledge of the Electrical or Facilities Management industry.
- Strong sales, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with bids, tenders, and contract negotiations.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Methodical with the ability to multi-task and meet targets.
- Supportive leadership qualities for less experienced colleagues.
- Attention to detail, familiarity with CRM systems (MS Dynamics advantageous).
- Dependability and authenticity are valued.
