Job Description

My client, a world leader in FX payments, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager/Account Executive to join their team.

This is a permanent role requiring work from the client's London office on a hybrid basis. The position offers a market-leading salary plus OTE.

Role overview

As a Senior Business Development Manager (Institutional) in London, you will be responsible for selling FX payment, hedging products, and API solutions to institutional clients, specifically Alternative Investment Funds (AIF).

You will be responsible for:
  • Approaching AIFs to attract new clients on behalf of the company.
  • Influencing clients, from Managing Partners to CFOs and Treasurers of Fund Managers and venture capital firms, on the benefits of executing spot and hedging needs through our client.
  • Consulting with AIFs regarding their currency requirements, risk profiles, and payment solutions, aiming to secure sustainable, profitable relationships.
  • Performing market analysis, attending online and offline events, and generating sufficient pipeline to meet financial targets.
You should apply if you have:
  • A proven track record working in or selling into the AIF ecosystem, which is MUST HAVE.
  • Knowledge or experience in Foreign Exchange is highly desirable but not essential.
  • A reliable and transferable client base within the AIF ecosystem (preferred).
  • Experience in consultative selling and customer acquisition, including networking, trade fairs, and cold calling.
  • Ambition, self-motivation, confidence, high integrity, and tenacity to outperform competitors.
  • Financial acumen and understanding of business needs of AIF clients.
  • Proven success in new business sales of regulated products in a dynamic environment, consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
  • Strong negotiation skills at the executive level and ability to build long-term client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, making quick decisions and managing timelines.
  • Experience working towards KPIs and targets to achieve weekly, quarterly, and annual goals.
