Offering the successful Senior Building Surveyor the opportunity to work across a diverse and high-profile portfolio, this role will see you take on a blend of traditional surveying responsibilities alongside project-led work, all while contributing to business development and mentoring within a collaborative team environment.

The Senior Building Surveyor's Role

The successful Senior Building Surveyor will play a key role within the London Building Surveying team, delivering professional and project services across a wide range of property types. You'll work with a broad mix of clients, helping to deliver high-quality, commercially sound advice and end-to-end project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering core Building Surveying services, with a focus on contract administration for refurbishment and remedial works
  • Leading and managing professional instructions, including dilapidations and condition surveys
  • Supporting client relationships and helping to secure new business opportunities
  • Contributing to the development of junior staff and mentoring graduates
  • Working collaboratively across service lines to provide comprehensive property solutions
  • Supporting financial forecasting and meeting fee targets

The Successful Senior Building Surveyor Will Have

Qualifications:

  • MRICS qualified for a minimum of 3 years
  • Degree in Building Surveying or similar

Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Strong background in both professional and project-based surveying
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage own workload and deliver to deadlines with minimal supervision
  • A collaborative, mentoring mindset with an interest in supporting graduate development
  • A clean driving licence and flexibility to travel when required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of MS Project or is a bonus
