Senior Building Surveyor

Role Overview

Senior Building Surveyor - Commercial Building Consultancy, London.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver professional building surveying instructions.
• Undertake project management and contract administration duties.
• Carry out technical due diligence and pre acquisition surveys.
• Provide dilapidations, landlord and tenant, and party wall advice.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of condition and defect reports.
• Conduct building pathology assessments and reinstatement cost assessments.
• Ensure projects are delivered to a high professional standard and within agreed timescales.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities.Collaborate with colleagues across the wider business to generate cross selling opportunities.
• Support achievement of fee income and business growth objectives.
• Mentor and support junior surveyors and graduates, sharing technical knowledge and best practice.
• Act as a positive role model and contribute to the department's success.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification.
• Experience working within commercial building surveying.
• Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant matters, dilapidations, technical due diligence and project work.
• Working knowledge of JCT contracts.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• A client focused and commercially aware approach.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members.
• Desirable: experience using AutoCAD, knowledge of NBS Specification Writer and Microsoft Project.
