Senior Building Control Engineer

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Senior Building Control Engineer on a 3 months contract initially with a possibility of further extension.

• Vetting of plans for a broad range of projects
• Carry our general site inspections.
• Give general Building Control advise by phone, email and in person.
• Inspect dangerous structures during normal working hours.
• Join the our-of-hours dangerous structures rota
• Creating adequate and timely records of inspections and correspondence
• Assist in the training of Trainee and Assistant Surveyors
• Assisting the Principal Surveyor and the Head of Building. Control of the team with sundry duties.

• Have a degree in the construction field or equivalent qualification and preferably have a Band C BSR qualification
• Have a full corporate membership status of a recognised professional body like RICS, CABE, CIOB, etc.
• Have a minimum of five years' experience in Building Control
• Be self-motivated to learn and work with little encouragement.
• Be keen to learn and upskill their soft and technical skills

This role is inside IR35, the rate advertised is under an umbrella company.
