Senior Bridge Engineer

Senior Bridges Engineer Location: Remote (with some office presence as required)

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Bridges Engineer to help grow and support a well-established team delivering complex and high-profile infrastructure projects across the UK. With clients and offices located nationwide, the role offers remote working with occasional office visits to support collaboration and project delivery.

This is a great opportunity to help shape the future of our bridges capability. We're looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with a collaborative mindset and a desire to mentor others.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering bridge designs across all stages, from feasibility to detailed design
• Undertaking bridge inspections and structural assessments
• Carrying out design and assessment checks
• Developing analytical models and producing calculations
• Preparing technical reports and risk assessments
• Mentoring junior engineers and overseeing CAD/BIM technicians
• Attending site visits as needed

About You

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Chartered or nearing chartership (ICE or IStructE)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working remotely and independently

Key Skills

• Proficient in DMRB, MCDHW, and Eurocodes
• Experienced with concrete and steel bridge design
• Familiar with technical approval procedures
• Skilled in tools such as Midas, LUSAS, and Autodesk SBD
