IntroductionSenior Benefits Specialist role overview: join a collaborative team, influence meaningful change - shaping benefits processes, partnering with stakeholders, and delivering innovative solutions. You will help drive a best-in-class employee experience, exposure to regional and global projects, and support the ongoing enhancement of our benefits offerings.
In this role, you will- Assist with designing, implementing and administering processes, policies, and system solutions.
- Ensure we meet statutory obligations and that our benefit programs comply with local laws and regulations.
- Regularly review programs to ensure operational and administrative effectiveness; identify and implement process improvements.
- Monitor, analyze and research utilization reports and trends for our plans, and proactively suggest improvements based on feedback, claims trends, market practice and external benchmarking.
- Develop an understanding of current benefits programs by supporting benefits administration and acting as the point of contact for complex employee benefits questions, exercising sound judgment to provide solutions.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with external consultants, vendors and providers and ensure service standards are adhered to.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of benefits legislation, industry standards and methodologies, incorporating standards into processes and procedures.
- Manage communication of existing and new programs, as well as all benefits compliance updates, in partnership with internal stakeholders (Payroll, HR Operations, HR and Legal).
- Maintain accurate benefits information on the internal HR portal.
- Continue to build understanding of the organization's processes, objectives and challenges and their impact on the business.
- 3 to 5 years of benefits administration and advisory experience.
- Familiarity with benefits programs and local regulations in the UK and Ireland; other preferred EMEA locations (e.g., France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Czechia and UAE).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to adapt to new challenges and adjust course in light of changes to statutory regulations and requirements.
- Effective communication with keen attention to detail and the ability to follow through, including making and communicating difficult decisions.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks with a sense of urgency with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to review data, detect and correct errors, and ensure data quality.
- Customer service focus with a responsive and can-do attitude.
- Good judgment - knowing when to escalate an issue and willingness to be flexible.
