Job Description

We are partnering with this organization to seek a Senior Backend Ruby Engineer who will be instrumental in enhancing the code base. The role involves engaging with diverse tasks across the technology stack, addressing various technical issues, and collaborating with both the Product Team and Front end Engineers to align with customer requirements. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in expanding the back end team while significantly contributing to the architecture and feature improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Bring at least 6 years of hands on experience and strong expertise in Ruby
• Effectively address a diverse range of technical challenges throughout the software stack
• Facilitate the development and growth of the back end engineering team
• Work closely with the Product Team and Front end Engineers to discern and understand user needs
• Create innovative technical solutions to enhance both features and the overall architecture of the platform

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of practical experience with Ruby
• Proficient in handling data heavy and event driven environments
• A genuine interest in open source contributions; prior involvement in OSS projects is a plus
• Experience with billing or tax related projects, integrating with tools such as CRMs or financial software is advantageous
• A demonstrated eagerness to co create a product vision during its early developmental stages
