About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and operationalize our core data and analytics platforms. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our data products-from architecting high-performance solutions and developing reliable ETL pipelines to implementing CI/CD and bringing these products to production.

This is a hands on role for an expert in the Microsoft Azure data stack, offering the opportunity to work on complex data challenges and have a significant impact on our data-driven capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, manage, and optimize robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks.
• Implement ADF workflows for data ingestion, integration, and ETL processes.
• Architect and build scalable data solutions with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data solutions using Azure DevOps.
• Develop and optimize T-SQL, stored procedures, and data models within Azure SQL.
• Build dashboards and reporting solutions for business stakeholders and data stewards.
• Utilize ADLS Gen 2, Azure Key Vault, and Logic Apps within solution architectures.

Essential Skills & Experience (Mandatory)

• 8-10 years of experience in data engineering.
• Proven expertise with the core Azure data stack: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, PySpark/Scala, Azure SQL, and ADLS Gen 2.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and relational database modeling.
• Hands on experience implementing data pipelines for production level data and analytics products.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Log Analytics.
• Programming skills in Python and/or C#.
• Experience in credit risk modelling or other financial risk modelling domains.
