An established, high-volume Franchised Dealership in Northampton is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Technician to join its dynamic aftersales team. What's Included in the Package?
  • Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum basic (DOE) + uncapped monthly productivity bonus (A valid MOT Tester licence is highly beneficial and unlocks a higher basic starting salary!)
  • Working Schedule: Monday to Friday hours (plus Saturdays on a fair rota)

Core Responsibilities
  • Carry out major mechanical teardowns and installations, including engines, gearboxes, timing belts/chains, and clutches
  • Utilize manufacturer diagnostic software to identify and rectify complex mechanical, electronic, and system faults
  • Perform routine vehicle servicing, safety checks, and multi-point vehicle health checks (VHC) to brand specifications
  • Write clear technical findings on digital job cards and communicate effectively with service advisors
  • Maintain high standards of workshop hygiene, safety, and equipment management
Candidate Profile
  • Technical Proficiency: Experienced in complex mechanical work and skilled in systematic fault tracing
  • Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ / IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served credential)
  • MOT Status: MOT Tester status is advantageous for an enhanced starting band, but not essential to apply
  • Mindset: Quality-focused individual committed to right-first-time standards and clean working practices
  • Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
