Senior Automation QA

We are looking for a Senior QA Tester Engineer to join our team and support the quality and reliability of a cross-media measurement platform developed in partnership with industry leaders such as Google, Meta, TikTok, and Amazon.

This role focuses on test automation, API testing, and data validation within a modern API-first and cloud-native architecture. The engineer will work closely with development teams to ensure platform reliability and embed quality into the CI/CD pipeline.

Location:

• Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra (hybrid) Candidates must be living in Portugal.

Language Requirements:

• Minimum English level: B2 (fluency required) Profile must be submitted in English.

• Languages & Frameworks: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, NestJS

• Automation & Testing: Playwright, Cypress, Puppeteer, Supertest, API testing, Test automation frameworks

• Data & Databases: SQL, data validation, analytics pipelines

• Cloud & DevOps: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (Cloud Build)

• Other / Nice to Have: Generative AI tools for testing, API-first architectures, Microservices Key

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites to ensure strong regression coverage

• Implement API-level testing (contract, integration, and component testing) for microservices and service layers

• Develop automated checks to validate complex data pipelines and ensure the accuracy of measurement outputs

• Maintain and improve the automation ecosystem using tools such as Playwright, Supertest (NestJS), and GCP Cloud Build

• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate testing into the development lifecycle and CI/CD workflows

• Monitor and improve quality metrics such as test stability, execution time, and coverage

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with test automation frameworks for web applications and distributed systems

• Solid experience testing RESTful APIs and microservices

• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Puppeteer, or similar testing tools

• Strong programming skills in JavaScript or TypeScript

• Good knowledge of SQL and experience validating data-driven platforms

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

• Experience working with containerized environments

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud environments

• Experience testing data pipelines or analytics platforms

• Exposure to Generative AI tools for test generation or synthetic data creation

• Experience contributing to open-source projects or familiarity with WFA standards
