Job Description
What you can expect

As Senior Associate Client Operations, you will immerse yourself in the day-to-day management of the end-to-end client experience for institutional investors. To excel as Senior Associate Client Operations you will bring extensive experience from within financial services or asset management-ideally having worked directly in investor relations or client servicing capacities. Must have private markets knowledge.

What you'll do
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all operational client inquiries including transactions such as distributions and capital calls, ensuring swift and effective resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate the flow of investor inquiries with internal teams to deliver timely, accurate communications including performance reporting and bespoke ad hoc requests tailored to client needs.
  • Liaise regularly with internal departments such as Client Service Reporting, Global Client Solutions, Risk & Compliance, Investment Accounting, and others to address complex client requirements.
  • Organise and monitor the team's schedule and shared inboxes to guarantee high-quality service delivery and prompt responses to all queries.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and overall client satisfaction; contribute actively to projects and wider business initiatives.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of each client's organisational structure, challenges, product offerings, and industry context to provide fit-for-purpose information.
  • Build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients or consultants by fostering open communication channels and trust.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, delegations, and regulatory requirements applicable to your activities within the role.
  • Support the achievement of business goals by proactively managing schedules, contributing commercial insight, and applying diligence to all responsibilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of products, market segments, data trends, and regulatory changes impacting institutional investors.
What you bring
  • At least eight years' experience within financial services or asset management environments with direct exposure to investor relations or client service roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders (such as risk & compliance or investment teams) and external clients or consultants through clear communication and empathy.
  • Proven project management discipline with experience juggling multiple competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
  • Comprehensive knowledge related to private markets investments as well as institutional investor needs including pension funds or similar entities.
  • Bachelor's degree required; tertiary qualifications in law, economics, finance or commerce are highly regarded.
  • Advanced proficiency in systems/databases containing institutional or investment data; strong working knowledge of Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling you to translate complex financial concepts into accessible information for diverse audiences.
  • Solid understanding of current global regulatory environments affecting institutional investors along with practical experience ensuring compliance within these frameworks.
  • High level of competence using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) plus familiarity with Power BI for data analysis purposes.
  • Service-minded approach combined with a can-do attitude; able to work collaboratively within teams while also taking initiative when needed.
