As a Senior Asset Valuations Specialist, you will play a central role in safeguarding the accuracy of asset valuations within a leading investment management operation. Your day-to-day activities will involve -

• Performing daily, monthly, and quarterly quality control checks on asset valuations to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
• Collaborating closely with pricing model owners to develop action plans addressing any identified valuation issues, ensuring timely remediation.
• Monitoring findings, recommendations, and management action plans resulting from valuation reviews, following up to guarantee appropriate actions are taken.
• Preparing detailed metrics and assist in reporting on asset valuations to various senior committees, including the OTC Pricing Committee.
• Enhancing awareness of valuation policies and practices by regularly coordinating with key internal stakeholders across multiple business units.
• Developing and refine processes and procedures supporting asset valuations to improve efficiency, transparency, and control.
• Maintaining active engagement with market data vendors, counterparties, and third parties regarding the valuation of managed positions.
• Taking ownership of pricing and valuation policies by validating adherence, updating documentation as required, and securing committee approvals for changes.
• Assisting with model validation testing plans by evaluating the appropriateness of model inputs and assessing underlying theoretical frameworks.
• Supporting continuous process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining existing workflows while maintaining robust governance.

To excel as a Senior Asset Valuations Specialist in this environment, you will bring significant hands-on experience managing complex derivative products within either investment banking or asset management operations. Your background should include deep exposure to pricing methodologies for both OTC derivatives and secured finance assets. Technical acumen is essential, particularly advanced spreadsheet skills complemented by programming knowledge (such as VBA or Python) that enables you to automate tasks or analyse large datasets efficiently. Your success will also depend on your ability to communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels while demonstrating meticulous attention to detail under tight deadlines. Experience using industry-standard platforms like Bloomberg further enhances your profile.
