Senior Architectural Technologist

Keenan Recruitment has been retained to recruit for a Senior Architectural Technologist,by a dynamic architect practice delivering Multi Residential Schemes and high-end one-off dwellings nationwide, including Belfast & Dublin.The core expertise of the practice are grounded in the art and science of architecture, delivering buildings that are aesthetically pleasing, functional and energy efficient.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work on innovative designs from conception through to completion on site.

Criteria:

• BScHons in Architectural Technology
• A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
• Driven & solution focused
• Strong knowledge of Planning & Building Regulations
• Revit & BIM knowledge a plus but not essential
• Sketch Up proficiency a plus but not necessary
• Experience preparing and submitting Fire Safety Certificate Applications & Disabled Access Certificates is a benefit but not a requirement

The role:

The successful candidate will be working across all stages of multiple residential projects from initial design through to delivery on site and final handover.

Planning:

• Site Analysis
• Sketch Design & Presentation
• Developed Design & Presentation
• Design & Planning Statements
• Planning Applications
• Planning Compliance reviews

Building Control:

• Detailed design
• Co-ordinating with full design team including Structural, Civil & Fire Engineers
• Building Control Applications & liaising with BC Officials
• Tender drawings
• Assist in Contract Administration
• Prepare preliminary Inspection Plans

Construction:

• Regular site inspections to check progress and compliance
• Ensure the contractor is fulfilling their obligations to the client
• Snagging and final Compliance checks
• Co-ordinate compliance documentation and file Completion Certificates
