Senior Agronomist - Shropshire - £35,000 - £50,000 - Home Based With Regional Travel

The Job:

We are working with a leading, research driven organisation within the agricultural sector to recruit an Agronomist. This is a home based role covering Shropshire and the West Midlands, supporting an established client base. In this position, you will provide expert agronomy advice across a range of crops, working closely with farmers and landowners to optimise yield, sustainability and overall crop performance.

Responsibilities include:

• Advising on cropping plans, variety selection
• Fertiliser programmes
• Plant protection strategies
• Contribute to the growth of consultancy services
• Managing your own portfolio of clients
• Supporting the delivery of innovative, science led solutions
• Involvement in field trials and experimental work, helping to translate research into practical, on farm outcomes

The Candidate:

• Strong knowledge of crop production and agronomy practices
• Experience in soil management and sustainable farming methods
• Ability to deliver clear, high quality technical advice to farmers and stakeholders
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage and grow a client portfolio
• Understanding of environmental schemes (highly desirable)
• Experience or interest in field trials and experimental work (advantageous)
• Self motivated and comfortable working independently in a home based role

The Package:

• Salary £35,000 - £50,000 DOE
