Opportunity

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Acoustic Consultant to join our growing team in London. You will be working on projects across the Buildings, Environment and Transportation sectors, mainly in the UK. Our project track record includes a number of landmarks around the city including the transformative redevelopment of Earls Court, St Pauls Cathedral Wren Centre and Bell Tower refurbishment and the expansion and refurbishment of St Pancras International station. Based in London, you will be supported by a team of motivated and capable acousticians, both in London and around the UK. To succeed in this role, you must be a team player able to support our extensive and interesting portfolio of work and have relevant experience in acoustic consultancy.

Your role
  • Undertaking baseline environmental noise and vibration surveys, and benchmark testing of existing buildings.
  • Rigorous application of standards such as BS 4142, BS 8233, BS 5228 and Pro PG to projects.
  • Authoring technical reports both for planning and design.
  • Acoustic modelling (CADNA/A and Odeon).
  • Effectively managing own workload and project managing projects.
  • Residential/Masterplan, Roads, Bridges and Industrial led EIA preparation.
  • Site inspections on building projects and PCT testing.
  • Liaison with Ramboll Environment and Health and Building teams.
  • Input to fee proposals, resource tracking and monitoring of project profitability.
  • Effective communication with architects and other specialists to integrate acoustic requirements into the project designs.
  • Technical support for colleagues and contributing to our continued growth and success.
Your starting point for constant growth
  • Acoustic related Degree, IOA Diploma or Masters' Degree
  • Full driving license
  • Relevant experience in acoustic consultancy
  • Proven experience in project delivery and managing own workload
  • Desire to or already working towards CEng
  • Associate Member of Institute of Acoustics (working towards MIOA)
  • Proficient user of CADNA-A software
  • Experience in the use of Odeon would be beneficial

You are also able to develop and maintain successful internal and external client relationships, meet deadlines and secure the highest quality of work at all times.
