Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager - Belfast (Hybrid)

MCS Group are looking for a Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager to join a well established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Belfast.

The Company:

Our client is a well-established Belfast accountancy practice offering Audit, Accounts, Corporate Finance, Tax and Payroll services to a diverse client base across NI, ROI and the US.

Having recently joined a global accountancy network, the firm is entering an exciting period of growth, with increased cross-border collaboration, new clients and opportunities. They are now looking to add a Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager to the team.

The Role:

As the successful Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager you will be responsible for the following:

Prepare and review year-end accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and PartnershipsHandle associated tax computations and returnsGet involved in M&A, client transactions, fundraising and ad-hoc projectsManage and mentor junior team membersHelp coordinate workloads and support the wider accounts teamBuild strong, trusted relationships with clientsOpportunity to step up into Assistant Manager responsibilities and take on more ownership

The Person:

The successful Senior Accountant /Assistant Manager will meet the following criteria:

ACA/ACCA qualified is preferenceWill consider strong Part-Qualifed Accountants/Accounts Technicians/QBEAudit experience is a bonusStrong communication and client-facing skillsExperience with Xero, QuickBooks or similar cloud accounting softwareConfident using Excel, Word and other relevant IT systemsOrganised, proactive and ready to take the next step in your career
