Job Role - Client Manager
The role involves managing client deadlines, working with the team to meet these deadlines, and liaising with clients and senior management.
You will report directly to Senior Managers and Directors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising regularly with your clients, handling ad-hoc queries, and collating records to meet deadlines.
  • Reviewing VAT returns prepared by the team.
  • Conducting brief reviews ('5-minute' reviews) of client accounts before senior management review.
  • Preparing accounts to draft stage for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
  • Preparing management accounts as needed.
  • Visiting clients at their premises.
  • Assisting with work planning alongside other client managers.
  • Preparing VAT returns as required.
  • Training the next generation of accountants within the team.

This is a busy role with direct client contact and monthly deadlines. The successful candidate must prioritize effectively and manage client expectations.

Role requirements:

  • Experience in client communication, team management, deadline management, and liaising with senior management.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Fully qualified member of a chartered professional body (ACCA, CA, CIMA, ICAEW), achieved via examination.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.

Skills:

  • Hardworking and professional attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Remuneration:

  • Annual salary of £36,000 to £43,000, depending on experience.
  • Company pension contributions of 3%.
  • 21 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, plus 2 additional days off at set times.
  • 1 volunteer day per year for charity work.
  • Post-probation, up to 2 days per week WFH (booked in advance).
