Job Description

The Visa Direct team at Visa works on designing, managing, and optimizing products and solutions for moving money using Visa's networks, e.g., Visa Direct, Currency Cloud, and B2B Connect. These products target commercial entities, including corporations, small and medium businesses, governments, and other organizations, as well as supporting P2P transfers and C2B spend on multi-currency accounts. MMS covers various aspects of money movement, including cross-border transactions, disbursements, and money transfers.

The Senior Account Manager for FXB is responsible for developing and executing the functional strategy and managing their portfolio of clients to meet or exceed financial goals such as Net Revenue and Net Income growth. This role reports to the Head of Account Management for FXB for Visa Direct in Europe. It requires strong commercial acumen and account management skills to manage revenue, upsell, cross-sell, and renewals.

Responsibilities include client engagement, governance, and applying performance insights to deliver strategy.

Day-to-day expectations:
  • Enable FXB to be a growth engine for Visa, aiming for up to 50% annual growth over 3-5+ years.
  • Contribute to building new business in the money movement space, diversifying Visa's offerings beyond core consumer payments into cross-border payment flows.
  • Own net revenue targets for your portfolio and the team.
  • Originate and deliver on aggressive sales targets for Visa Money Movement capabilities.
  • Develop a broad network of stakeholders and leverage relationships to create a robust pipeline.
  • Define product propositions based on client knowledge and create roadmaps for implementation.
  • Work with finance to structure high-value, complex deals.
  • Coordinate with Compliance and Risk for swift client onboarding.
Revenue management:
  • Manage and grow net revenue through upselling and cross-selling existing and new capabilities.
  • Optimize customer performance with enabling functions like marketing, data analytics, and account management.
How to succeed:
  • Participate in sales initiatives, including new product rollouts and scaling capabilities.
  • Improve commercial processes for better sales and faster revenue realization.

This is a hybrid role with in-office days to be confirmed by the manager.

  • Proven success in selling multi-million contracts and managing sales teams.
  • Experience in client/partnership management, sales, or business development, preferably at a global or multi-market level.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and executive interaction skills.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and influence adoption.
  • Analytical skills to derive insights from Visa systems and develop strategies.
  • Experience in cross-border business payments is essential.
  • People management experience is required.
  • Second language skills are a plus.
  • Experience across multiple European markets is preferred.
