The Supply Register is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of Tudor Grange Academies Trust for an experienced and highly motivated SENDCo Lead to provide maternity cover across schools within the Trust, commencing in January 2027.
To ensure a smooth transition and secure the highest calibre candidate, we are recruiting for this position now. This presents an excellent opportunity for experienced SEND professionals who may be considering their next role for the new year.
Working closely with school leaders, SEND teams, teaching staff, and external agencies, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receive exceptional support and achieve positive outcomes.
The RoleAs SENDCo Lead, you will:
- Provide SENDCo leadership and support across Trust schools as required.
- Lead and coordinate SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Oversee the identification, assessment, and monitoring of students with SEND.
- Manage EHCP processes, annual reviews, and statutory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership teams, teaching staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Develop and implement effective intervention strategies to support student progress.
- Monitor SEND outcomes and use data to drive improvement.
- Support and develop SEND support staff and Teaching Assistants.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all learners.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
- NASENCO qualification or substantial SENDCo experience.
- Proven experience leading SEND provision within a school setting.
- Excellent understanding of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Experience supporting students with a wide range of needs, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language Needs, and Learning Difficulties.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships across multiple school environments.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
