Job Description
Overview

We are currently recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a one form entry, "GOOD" Ofsted rated primary school in Cannock.

Responsibilities

This role will involve providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 2 with ADHD and challenging behaviour. The school is seeking a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships, implement behaviour strategies and provide consistent support tailored to the child's needs.

Working hours

The position is full time, starting ASAP and continuing until July 2026, working from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
  • Have good knowledge and experience of working with SEND, particularly ADHD.
  • Have experience working in nurseries or primary schools as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (LSA).
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or have one issued within the last 12 months.
  • Provide a minimum of two excellent references.
  • Have recent UK school experience.

This Tamworth school has good transport links from Polesworth, Dordon and Dosthill. On site parking is also available for those travelling by car.
