The Education Specialists (TES) are working in partnership with schools across Ellesmere Port to recruit dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants for short-term, long-term, and day to day cover roles. These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs across primary and secondary settings.

Key Responsibilities of a SEND Teaching Assistant
  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Deliver tailored learning activities based on individual needs.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
  • Provide personal care support where required.

  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
