Job Description
Together creating learning capacity in the classroom 
The Education Specialists (TES) are working in partnership with schools across Birkenhead to recruit dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants for short term, long term, and day to day cover roles. These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs across primary and secondary settings.
Key Responsibilities- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a 1:1 or small group basis.
- Deliver tailored learning activities based on individual needs.
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
- Implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Provide personal care support where required.
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (required for teaching roles).
- Competitive pay: £95-£110 per day depending on role and experience.
