Milk Education are working with a primary school in Billinge (WN5) who are seeking a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to work 1-2-1 with a child in Year 2 who has Autism and Complex Needs.

This role is starting immediately and will be a temporary, long-term role until Thur 02/06/26.

The School are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and accommodating to the child's learning needs for this SEND Teaching Assistant position. The hours of work are 08:30am- 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

This SEND Teaching Assistant role will involve keeping the child on task and ensuring that the work they doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensure the child's needs are being met. In this SEND Teaching Assistant role you will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for the child.

Teaching Assistant- Role & Responsibilities:

• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
• Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
• Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
• Deliver catch-up sessions

Teaching Assistant Level- Non-negotiables:

• Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
• Must have a passion for education
• Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
• Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
• Must be reliable and punctual
