£450-£500 per week depending on experience

About the role

Connex Education are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a SEND School in Ellesmere Port that cater for primary aged pupils with SLD and complex needs.

The staff here work together to help all pupils reach their potential, they have high expectations of pupils, challenging them to strive via bespoke learning plans. As a SEND Teaching Assistant at this school, you will support pupils academically, socially and emotionally.

Assignment details

This role will commence mid March and will be for the remainder of the academic year with a view to a contract for the right candidate in September when they are increasing. This is a full time role, working Monday-Friday 8.30am-3.30pm.

Person specification
  • Experience of supporting secondary pupils with ASD, SEMH, SLD and PMLD
  • Be able to provide pastoral support, build relationships with students and help them to be the best version of themselves.
  • Able to communicate well and be patient as well as bring self-regulated and calm.
  • Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.
  • Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
