Leader Education are recruiting for a passionate SEND Teacher to work in specialist SEND school in Trafford. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, helping them build confidence, develop life skills and achieve meaningful progress in their education.
As a SEND Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering adapted lessons, structured learning and emotional support to students who may require additional guidance to succeed in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEND including SEMH, ASD, ADHD and learning difficulties.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students feel safe and valued.
- Adapt teaching strategies and learning materials to meet individual learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and pastoral teams to support student progress.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support positive classroom engagement.
- Monitor, assess and report on student progress, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, PGCE or equivalent).
- Experience working with students with SEND or SEMH needs is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
- Ability to differentiate lessons to support a range of abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

- Psychology, education or youth support roles
