What you'll be doingYou'll be right at the heart of the classroom, supporting pupils with special educational needs and helping them access learning with confidence.
Your day might include:
Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND
Helping students stay engaged, focused, and confident in lessons
Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
Working closely with teachers and the SEN team to adapt learning where needed
Creating a calm, encouraging environment where every pupil feels valued
This role would suit someone patient, compassionate, and confident in building positive relationships with young people.
What we're looking forExperience working with children or young people with SEND, in school or care settings
A calm, positive approach and strong communication skills
Someone who can build trust and support pupils' independence
A team player who enjoys working closely with teaching staff
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Setting: Secondary school (ages 11-16)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
