OurSilks Farm Day Nursery, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic SENDAssistant to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, with a focus on working 1:1 with one particular child who needs additional support.

Hours would be 8 hours a day on a Thursday and Friday with the possibility of increasing to another day after time.

About Our Nursery

Our Silks Farm Day Nursery and Preschool in the Huntingdon area offers an array of exceptional features that contribute to our high-quality childcare. Location

Set in rural Cambridgeshire, we are located between Somersham village and St Ives retail park, near Cuckoobridge Farm Shop. The nursery is easily accessible by car and offers ample parking.

What You'll Be Doing

• Acting as a liaison between parents and staff for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
• Working 1:1 with a child who requires additional support and guidance
• Ensuring appropriate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are in place where required.
• Ensuring relevant background information for children with SEND is collected, recorded, and kept up to date.
• Keeping up to date with current initiatives and best practice in SEND.
