This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with autism and additional learning needs, helping them thrive in a positive, inclusive, and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with autism, tailoring assistance to individual needs.
• Support pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and daily routines.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement personalised learning plans and strategies.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement, ensuring a calm, safe, and nurturing learning space.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and a sense of achievement in pupils.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience working 1:1 with children or young people with autism or additional learning needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with patience, empathy, and a caring approach.
• Ability to work effectively under the guidance of teachers and SEN coordinators.
• A resilient, proactive, and understanding attitude, sensitive to the individual needs of pupils on the autism spectrum.
