You will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and become more independent.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group SEN support
- Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs
- Helping pupils engage with classroom learning
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Developing positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Following individual learning and support plans
- Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team
- Encouraging independence and celebrating pupil progress
- Patient, calm and resilient
- Naturally caring and empathetic
- Confident supporting children with additional needs
- Reliable and committed to working full-time
- A strong communicator and team player
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Passionate about making a difference
- Previous SEN, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support or Behaviour Support experience is highly desirable. Experience with autism, SEMH or complex needs would be particularly beneficial.
Driving is essential
Due to the location of the setting, you must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
Unfortunately, candidates without access to their own transport cannot be considered.
