SEN Teaching Assistant

Vision for Education are on the hunt for an experienced Teaching Assistant with a background of working with children with Special Educational Needs within the Lichfield area to start from September 2026.

Location: Lichfield

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £92 to £100 per day.

About the role

• Working both one to one and in small groups with students with Special educational needs, outside of the classroom in a primary school setting.
• Supporting children by following EHCPs and school guidelines.
• Starting from the beginning of the new academic year, September 2026, as a day to day/part time member of staff with the potential to become a permanent member for the right fit.
• Working between school hours of 08 30, Monday to Friday up until the end of the Autumn term, December 2026.

Requirements

To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Experience working with children or young people (preferably in an educational setting)
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
• Have or be able to obtain a DBS Certificate registered to the update service.
• Be able to gain at least two relevant references covering the last 2 years.
