Job Title: SEN Teacher with Science Speciliasm
Location: Longdon Hall School, Lichfield, Staffordshire WS15 4PT
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £45,000.00 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only
Start: June 2026

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and innovative SEN Teacher with a Science Specialism to join our dedicated team and help shape an engaging, inclusive and inspiring learning experience for pupils with additional needs.

As our SEN Teacher with Science Specialism, you'll play a key role in driving high-quality teaching and learning across the Science curriculum while supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs to achieve meaningful success.
You'll create engaging and personalised learning experiences that spark curiosity, develop confidence and encourage pupils to explore the world around them. Working closely with the Headteacher and wider team, you'll contribute to the strategic development of Science provision and help shape a curriculum that is ambitious, creative and accessible for every learner.

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering engaging and differentiated Science lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
- Raising standards of teaching, learning and achievement across the Science curriculum
- Supporting pupils with SEN to build confidence, resilience and independence
- Leading the development and innovation of Science provision across the school
- Creating stimulating and purposeful learning environments
- Monitoring progress and implementing strategies to support positive outcomes
- Teaching across the wider curriculum where required, including off-site learning opportunities
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals to provide holistic support
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is:
- A qualified teacher with UK QTS or equivalent
- Passionate about Science and inclusive education
- Experienced or interested in supporting pupils with SEN and additional needs
- Creative, adaptable and engaging in their teaching approach
- Committed to raising aspirations and improving outcomes for young people
- A positive team player with excellent communication skills
- Motivated to contribute to whole-school development and innovation
- In possession of a full UK driving licence
