SEN Teacher - Join Our Team in Chesterfield

Protocol Education is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and experienced SEN Teachers to work in specialist schools and inclusive educational settings across Chesterfield. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans and adapt teaching strategies to support a range of learning needs.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, SENCOs, and other professionals to provide the best possible outcomes for pupils.
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all pupils.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of a range of SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, and Moderate or Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and classroom management skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them succeed.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
