SEN Teacher - Alternative Provision

We are looking for a passionate, resilient, and creative SEN Teacher to join a specialist Alternative Provision setting in Nottingham. You'll be working with pupils aged 7-19 who may have SEND, SEMH needs, or who have become disengaged from mainstream education.
This is a unique opportunity to deliver meaningful, personalised teaching that re-engages learners and supports them to rebuild confidence, develop life skills, and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the curriculum
- Set personalised targets and track progress through baseline assessments
- Support pupils' academic, emotional, and social development
- Use restorative and relational approaches to behaviour and engagement
- Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Work collaboratively with families, external agencies, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Contribute to curriculum development and resource planning
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding at all times
About You
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent
- Ability to teach a subject area (Maths at KS3/KS4 or Functional Skills desirable)
- Strong relationship-building skills and a pupil-centred approach
- Resilient, reflective, and committed to professional development
- Confident using behaviour strategies to support engagement
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience in SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision
