Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: 3 Dimensions School, Somerset , TA20 3AJ

Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum dependant on experience (not pro rata)

Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and committed SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of our pupils. You'll play a key part in supporting their academic, social, and emotional development - helping them thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

You will be calm, resilient, and adaptable, with a passion for creating a learning environment that is inclusive, hands-on, and full of opportunity. Your teaching will be rooted in understanding, innovation, and a drive to help every pupil succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a wide range of learners aged 7+, working from EYFS through to Key Stage 2 levels.
  • Deliver core subjects (Maths and English) and contribute to a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver lessons using a practical, play-based, and sensory-informed approach.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress through regular marking, assessment, and feedback.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).
  • Attend and contribute to EHCP annual reviews, providing detailed progress updates.
  • Take ownership of student timetables to ensure a personalised learning experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and wider support teams to ensure the best outcomes for learners.
  • Be flexible and willing to take on additional duties as requested by the Head of School.

Who We're looking For

  • Strong understanding and experience of teaching children working at EYFS to KS2 level.
  • Proven ability to plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
  • Experience in supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs.
  • A creative, confident, and hands-on teaching style, with a focus on sensory and practical learning.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for helping vulnerable young people to flourish.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) - essential
