Salary Grade G: Points 20 to 24 (£32,597 - £35,412) full time equivalent, subject to pro rata.
Minimum pro rata salary: £16,907.49 per annum
Annual weeks: 38 + 6 days (term time only + 6 days)
Contract: 22 hours per week, part time, permanent

We are looking to appoint a SEN Support Officer (SENSO) for our secondary school, starting September 2026. The role will be based on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Responsibilities

As the SEN Support Officer you will provide administrative support to the SENCO and manage the delivery of interventions to improve pupil progress. You will coordinate the daily deployment and performance of Teaching Assistants, ensuring effective use across the academy. Your tasks include delivering bespoke intervention packages for secondary aged pupils with SEND, tracking progress, and supporting student needs in collaboration with teachers and other support staff.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should have experience working with pupils with SEND, strong organisational and communication skills, and proven ability to manage and monitor intervention programmes. A relevant teaching qualification and a good understanding of SEN policy are desirable.

Salary: £32,597 - £35,412 full time equivalent, proportionally reduced for part time.
