A specialist school in Peterlee is seeking a Support Assistant to work with pupils who have Autism Spectrum Condition, Severe Learning Difficulties and sensory processing needs.

The school focuses on creating structured routines, supportive relationships and engaging learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils during lessons
• Encouraging communication and social interaction
• Helping pupils manage sensory sensitivities
• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
