SEN Support Assistant - Mainstream Primary School
Protocol Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Westminster, who are looking for an SEN Support Assistant to join their team.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and wants to make a meaningful difference in a mainstream classroom setting.
Responsibilities- As an SEN Support Assistant, you'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning in a way that works for them.
- You'll provide a mix of one-to-one and small group support, adapting activities, offering encouragement, and helping pupils feel confident and included in the classroom.
- Your role will be key in creating a calm, positive environment where every child feels understood and supported.
- You'll be part of a caring and collaborative team, focused on helping every child progress at their own pace and celebrating each step forward.
- Experience working with children with SEN, or in a school setting
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Confidence supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
- A genuine passion for inclusive education
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, with the potential for a permanent role in some cases.
