Reporting To

Deputy Head Teacher

Responsibilities

• Teach pupils with Education Health and Care Plans across a range of SEN needs and ages, with a focus on Autistic Spectrum Disorders and other related conditions.
• Support pupils' progress across the curriculum, differentiating where appropriate.
• Produce pupil SEN passports, monitor academic and social communication development, contribute to provision mapping and annual reviews and write ILPs.
• Provide staff training to meet pupils' needs.
• Guide the work of tutors, including Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Higher-Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) working with pupils who have EHCPs.
• Deliver pastoral support and guidance for all pupils.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent.
• Desirable experience with needs including ASD/SEMH/SEN.
• Proven track record of obtaining positive student outcomes.
• Innovative, passionate and pro active attitude.
• Experience developing intuitive lesson plans and curriculum.
