Long Term Futures is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Solihull from September 2026.
This rewarding role will be based within the school's dedicated SEN Hub, supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 with a range of additional needs, with a particular focus on Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Working closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and pastoral team, you will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils regulate their emotions, develop positive behaviours, and successfully access the curriculum.

Your Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support within the school's dedicated SEN Hub
- Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 with SEMH and additional learning needs
- Deliver targeted interventions linked to EHCP outcomes and personalised learning plans
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development
- Help pupils successfully access the curriculum and reintegrate into mainstream lessons where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with the SENCO, class teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals
- Promote confidence, independence, and positive relationships throughout the school day
- Create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment that enables every pupil to succeed
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly SEMH, within a primary or specialist setting
- Experience delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning strategies
- Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to supporting children with additional needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
