SEN Class Teacher - Specialist SEMH School

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Class Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Luton. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of pupils who require a nurturing, structured, and supportive education and training environment.

In this education and training role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, nurture-based lessons to small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs, with a focus on emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Consistently apply trauma-informed and attachment-aware approaches
  • Plan and deliver personalised learning programmes aligned with EHCP outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, pastoral staff, therapists, and external professionals
  • Create a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom where every pupil feels valued

About You - SEN Class Teacher - Luton

We are looking for an individual who:

  • Holds QTS or QTLS (desirable), or has substantial experience in an SEN/SEMH setting
  • Has experience working with KS2 pupils with SEMH, trauma, or behavioural needs
  • Demonstrates resilience, patience, and consistency
  • Is skilled in building positive, restorative relationships
  • Can commute to Luton
  • Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
  • Is motivated to engage in ongoing professional development
