We're recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Crowborough. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to build confidence, develop positive relationships and achieve their full potential.
Whether you have experience working in education, youth work, care or another support-based role, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
• Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage confidence and engagement.
• Support students both in the classroom and during other school activities.
• Help implement behaviour support strategies and individual learning plans.
• Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to promote positive outcomes for every pupil.

We're Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
• The ability to remain positive and adaptable in a rewarding school environment.
