Job Title: SEMH Teacher (Social, Emotional, Mental Health)

Location: Sheffield

Contract: Temporary, Term-Time Only (Monday-Friday)

Start Date: Immediate

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Therapeutic Teaching: design and deliver creative, flexible lessons that re-engage students with their education, managing SEMH needs such as anxiety, trauma, and challenging behaviour.
  • Build Trust and Stability: foster a nurturing, structured classroom environment where pupils feel understood, secure, and motivated to rebuild their confidence.

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEMH needs.
  • A calm and adaptable practitioner who can de-escalate situations with empathy and maintain high expectations for all students.

Essential Requirements
  • An up-to-date Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or the willingness to apply for one immediately.
  • Strong professional references confirming your ability to work effectively with vulnerable children.
