Self Employed Warehouse Operative

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced FLT/Warehouse Operative to provide logistics and warehouse support services. The contractor will be providing services using their own expertise and working practices, while adhering to site safety and operational requirements.

Approximate working hours are 1 pm - 9:30 pm, subject to operational demand.

Scope of Services

• Load and unload goods, including the use of material-handling equipment such as forklift trucks where required
• Handle goods with care, including manual handling and correct stock placement within the warehouse
• Manage and organise stock
• Provide support with warehouse activities such as picking and packing, shipping and receiving, and stock replenishment
• Comply with all on-site health and safety policies and legal requirements

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Proven experience providing logistics or warehouse services
• Valid forklift truck licence (FLT) - essential
• Valid driving licence appropriate for operating company vehicles locally
• Experience with stock control, order picking, and goods-in/goods-out processes
• Ability to undertake manual handling and physically demanding tasks safely
• Mechanical awareness of vehicles or warehouse equipment is advantageous
• Experience in construction or similar environments is beneficial but not essential

Self-Employed Status

• This role is offered on a self-employed contractor basis
• The contractor is responsible for their own tax, National Insurance, and insurance obligations
• No exclusivity is implied, and the contractor may provide services to other clients
• Payment will be made against invoice for services delivered
• Engagement is focused on outcomes and service delivery rather than employment obligations
