Self Employed Trade Plate Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and professional Vehicle Delivery Drivers (Trade Plate) to join our growing automotive logistics operation. The role involves the safe and timely collection and delivery of vehicles across the UK on trade plates, working with dealerships, auctions, fleets, and private customers.

This is a self-employed role offering flexible work, varied routes, and the opportunity to work with a professional and well-organised logistics team. Drivers must demonstrate excellent road awareness, communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility when handling customer vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver vehicles nationwide using trade plates, ensuring safe and compliant driving at all times
• Carry out pre-collection and delivery inspections, accurately recording POC (Proof of Condition) and POD (Proof of Delivery)
• Plan and follow efficient routes to meet agreed delivery times
• Communicate clearly with the operations team regarding ETAs, delays, or issues
• Ensure vehicles are kept secure and treated with care throughout transit
• Adhere to all road traffic laws, health & safety standards, and company procedures
• Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers, dealerships, and site staff
• Complete required documentation and photo uploads promptly on the day of delivery

Experience & Requirements

• Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 5 years
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (no major driving convictions)
• Trade plate driving experience required
• Strong understanding of UK road networks and driving regulations
• Confident driving a wide range of vehicles, including manual and automatic
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Professional, punctual, and safety-focused attitude

Pay: Up to £700.00 per week
