We're responsible for defining and communicating Lloyds Banking Group's security strategy and providing a range of critical Enterprise Security Services which not only operate key controls that keep the Group safe but also enable the digital transformation agenda of the wider organisation.The Technical Strategy team ensures that LBG's security capabilities and strategy (envisioned by our Enterprise Security Architects) are fulfilled by appropriate technologies. We help shape strategic technology decisions, providing expert insight into our tooling and opportunities to optimise, based on LBG requirements and future trends, supplemented with rigorous market and industry-based research.We're looking for a Senior Security Specialist to join our growing Technical Strategy team as LBG transforms into a leading digital organisation! You'll help shape and influence the cybersecurity technology direction and identify change initiatives that deliver on cybersecurity strategies. Key responsibilities: Working with security focused SMEs, Product Owners and partners to ensure factual and timely production of security technology artefacts. Establishing relationships with internal customers and external vendors, to maintain a consensus view of Security technology direction that supports group strategy. Compare and contrast technologies to identify deltas and best-fit capabilities to against evolving company needs. Using excellent written and verbal skills to distil and convey detailed technical information in appropriate terms to senior stakeholders and their associated teams. Finding opportunities to help build change initiatives that deliver impactful cybersecurity Strategies. Unblocking challenges to the production, maintenance & content of the cybersecurity Technology Roadmaps. Providing opportunity, cost perspectives, and insights on strategic CSO initiatives. Leading technical vendor relationships and influencing vendor Technology roadmap alignment. Establishing and leading collaboration environments for new and existing engagements both internal and external. What you'll need You'll need extensive practical experience, across a broad spectrum of IT, Network, Cloud and cybersecurity platforms; we're looking for someone who's spent extensive time in the field handling complex environments, who isn't an authority in a single subject, and experienced in consultancy. You'll possess a relentless desire to keep your knowledge fresh and stay on top of industry developments and how that could shape the future of cybersecurity at LBG. You'll need to be constantly curious about the art of the possible, and how evolving technology could lead to a shift of our security strategy, posture, and potential catalysts for transformational change. You'll need strong analytical and critical thinking skills along with your technical competence to compare/contrast security capabilities and challenge the status quo in line with LBG requirements with a holistic and unbiased view. You'll need to be resolved in your findings, and able to confidently articulate and defend your reasoning with peers, stakeholders and senior leadership. You'll need the ability to build and maintain relationships both externally and internally and proactively promote the services offered by Technology Strategy within the group.
