Job Description

Job Title: Security Officer

Location: Diageo Woodside, Unit D Woodside, Dunmow Road, Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. CM23 5RG

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

Working Hours: 60 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 5 days across the working week

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Job Introduction

As a Security Officer at Diageo Woodside, you'll play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our colleagues, visitors, and clients. This is a visible role where professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail are essential.

You'll be working 60 hours per week over 5 days and must hold a valid SIA licence. If you're an experienced, dependable, and vigilant individual looking to join a professional security team, this could be your next move.

Main Responsibilities
  • Monitor and authorise entry and exit of personnel and visitors
  • Carry out regular patrols of the premises
  • Respond to incidents and act in line with site procedures
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all events and incidents
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Support the client's brand and reputation through excellent customer service
  • Operate CCTV (if licenced) and report any suspicious activity
  • Assist with emergency situations including evacuations or medical issues
  • Comply with all site-specific requirements and training
  • Maintain a strong security presence while being approachable and courteous
Ideal Candidate
  • Valid SIA Security Guard Licence (required)
  • Full UK driving licence (required)
  • Minimum age 18 (required due to licencing laws)
  • CCTV licence and IOSH training (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of integrity
  • Able to work independently and manage challenging situations calmly
