SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off, 07:00 to 19:00 - Days only, 48 hours per week

PAY RATE: £14.96 per hour

Responsibilities

• Provide a special Security Service at a highly prestigious Corporate Client, following Assignment Instructions, SOPs and customer requirements to protect employees, property and other assets.
• Deliver the highest levels of customer service that consistently demonstrate ABM's core values of Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation, Excellence and Trust.
• Achieve required levels in the Site Training Matrix during the probation period and successfully complete probation to become a permanent member.
• Use computer skills to manage work emails and calls.
• Preferably have experience working within highly prestigious corporate sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Protection of Property and Premises
  • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site.
  • Monitor fire and other alarms, liaising with Landlord security.
  • Provide a visible deterrent and high level security presence while on site.
  • Conduct internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Undertake loading bay duties.
  • Compile site reports and distribute in full compliance to DPA 1998 legislation.
  • Compile and distribute Incident Reports in accordance with agreed protocols.
  • Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
  • Manage keys and perform locking/unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Ensure equipment provided by the customer and ABM is managed as per procedures.
  • Maintain all logbooks and records.
  • Deal with lost property in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
  • Control crowds and manage function duties to ensure premises and guest safety.
• Health and Safety
  • Provide support, guidance and information to staff, visitors and contractors while safeguarding premises.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are always followed.
  • Record and report faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices to supervisor/manager.
  • Report and record all accidents in line with the Assignment Instructions.
  • Keep walkways and emergency escape routes clear at all times.
  • Report usage of First Aid equipment and shortfalls in First Aid boxes.
  • Investigate the cause of all fire alarm activations and liaise with Landlord Security; provide reports.
• Prevent Loss and Waste
  • Report instances of property at risk of being lost, stolen, damaged and/or vandalised.
  • Check all designated doors are secured and access systems are working during patrols.
• Prevent and Deter Crime
  • Operate CCTV and any other physical security equipment used on site.
  • Always identify and challenge unauthorised access.
  • Carry out initial investigations and report both verbally and in writing on incidents and suspicious activities.
• Customer Service
  • Display an outstanding level of customer service.
  • Take responsibility for problems that staff and visitors may have.
  • Maintain the highest standard of personal presentation to uphold ABM and CRB image.
  • Answer telephone calls professionally and in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for improving practices and processes wherever possible.
• Other Responsibilities
  • Book in at the beginning of each shift and make check calls in line with Company policy.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed promptly and conduct effective handover procedures.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by Line Manager.

Person Specification

• Has a one team approach.
• Can take ownership of all situations to ensure tasks are completed.
• Is flexible to change.

Essential

• Must hold an SIA licence - DS/Security and CCTV Licence.
• Experience in the Security Industry.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Excellent observational skills.

Desirable

• First Aid trained.
